This medium bodied well balanced wine exhibits the best qualities of Zinfandel. The 2009 growing season was relatively favorable. We had a cool, wet winter and spring, a relatively hot summer, and a wonderfully warm Indian summer for our harvest. We hand harvested our Alexander Valley fruit at night during September 2009. Our wine has aged well with the deep dark fruit flavors showing through each sip. Raspberries, black currants, and black pepper all play well along with dried black figs, cedar and spice. This is a typical Alexander Valley Zinfandel, brilliant & elegant with smooth tannins. You could easily age this wine another 5 years.
